I know this has been done before, and I have searched and tried the advice I read on how to go about it, such as google images/paste the url etc. But when I do that I always see the url is not usable, even when I have used pics that are not copyrighted. There must be another way. Any advice would be appreciated.

| Use a free image hosting server like imageshack or photobucket. Upload the picture you want to use for your avatar to there and then link it as your avatar. |
