During my summer vacation it is possible for me to get permission from my school to work at another school or at a camp. Then I'll have to get approval from Immigration.

How much time does it take to get the second workplace approved at Immigration? What documents do I need to take with me to Immigration? It seems like I remember reading that information fairly recently on Dave's, but I searched and couldn't find it.

QUESTION #2: I've read that Immigration is searching websites where people seeking part-time work post their resumes. It's probably pretty dangerous to post a resume and say that you're looking for privates or part-time work. BUT, would it be dangerous to post my resume if I said that I'm only interested in positions that would provide the paperwork required by Immigration? I know none of you can provide an offical answer, but I'm just wondering what you think about that. I don't think it would be a problem, but what do you think?

You're in the clear.

I did exactly that last year -- got permission from my school to work a camp while I was on a 1-month vacation. I got the proper form from immigration, paid the small fee, gave them my Alien card and paperwork from my employer and the camp, and they said it would be done in about a week. They (immigration) actually finished it in one day, but I wouldn't count on that happening to everyone. The reason I know they finished it in one day was sort of an odd thing: I decided not to do the camp and returned to get my card. They had already finished stamping it.

If you are searching for legal work, you have no reason to worry. Just say on your online post that your employer is allowing you to work a camp, and that you insist you find a camp which will follow through on all of the legal paperwork.

No problems.
