I'm heading down to Sangju on June 11 for the weekend and was wondering what there is to do there. Let me know if you've been there, done that, or are still there. |

What? There's more than one? It's the one that's central South Korea. |

I live up the road a piece, so I'll chip in, although actually I've spent very little time in Sangju proper (unless you count sitting in a bus at the terminal).
There is only one Sangju, but it is sometimes confused with the more rural area of Seongju, which adjoins Daegu on the southeast (I think). Some also confuse it with , which is lettuce.
Sangju is not exactly a tourist hotspot, so you may have to use your imagination a bit. It's basically just another medium-sized Korean provincial town. It does have quite a thing for bicycles, featuring some nice bicycle paths and a bicycle museum. Gyeongcheondae is quite famous.
And of course, Sangju is just down the road from Mungyeong-si, home to the most beautiful countryside in Gyeongsangbuk-do.
