With the air-conditioning on I go to sleep healthy and I wake up with a sore throat and ears.
If I turn off the air conditioning it is too hot to sleep but I wake up healthy.
Either way I want to die.

My fan already killed me. What's up with that?!? Everybody said it's just a myth. |

I'm fine. I sleep with my window open, too. That way the fan can't steal all the oxygen. |

Yeah, amazing how such little house fans can leave a room devoid of oxygen...Yeah, oxygen just can't seep through the small, permeable parts of the wood, under the doors, etc. Yeah, no oxygen can possibly get into the place...that tiny little fan sucks it all out. Yeah, and they wonder why people don't respect their claims of superior intelligence..... |

It does appear to be completely media-driven - a few people have said to me something along the lines of "well I didn't believe it, but every year there are news reports about it".
Better for a nation to believe a silly little ridiculous thing like fan death rather than a dangerous untruth like "Saddam was behind 9/11" (or "you can trust Tony") for example, methinks? |

Nooooooooooo,
It's scientifically proven when the Dog Star Sirius also called star Spica is aligned with the friend and counselor of Osiris...only then - fan death occurs, but only in Korea!! |

You need to clean your aircon with the appropriate products. You're probably getting a healthy dose of mold and bacteria blown into your face.
It's really funny when they claim the fan deaths are caused by hypothermia. They've obviously never had to walk to school during a blizzard when they were kids.

My husband bought us a new air conditioner last week. I am testing it out tonight. It is supposed to emit vitamin and circulate air! Namely this one:

Vitamins? I doubt it. Vitamins are too complex to be so easily produced. Are you sure you don't mean ions? The whole ion thing is just another japanese gimmick Koreans bought right into (remember DHA?). |

It helps to fill your room with plants--lots of em--to replace some of the oxygen that the fan sucks out, I find. But I can't stress the importance of quantity enough--fans really are insatiable in their hunger for oxygen. You really need to be sleeping in a indoor jungle. |

I'm fine without a fan or air con. Even early morning light and ajummas yapping and trucks don't bother me much. Only sometimes. I'm pretty tolerant as I am used to being crazy anyway. |
