How often have you done this? I have done it several times. I've just started a new job, actually almost 3 weeks ago, but need more cash. I hate asking early but the pay will be still almost 3 weeks away. I already got some advance last week. But had to visit Japan etc.. cost a bit. So the boss gave me enough for a week. I said hey I will ask again next week. As long as he is OK, I guess he will give me enough each week till payday. Strange razz. I wish pay was every 2 weeks.

man, you aren't a newbie.

You have to lay off the pay-2-play scene dude...
(or whatever your vice happens to be)

Just kidding...hope it works out for you.
Job changing time can leave you a little short sometimes.

I first arrived in Korea with a mere 100,000 won in my pocket and asked for an advance on day 3. I again asked when I was heading off on a holiday trip.

It's not the same issue as it is back home. It's all about their needs and your needs. They will be flexible about that and expect you to be flexible when they need it as well.

It's more fluid that way in Korea, as a poster advised me to expect way back before I came to this country. My experience has confirmed it.
