Hi, all-
I've written on here before and now I'm in Seoul, got here yesterday...am severely jetlagged and in a PC bang near Sogang University. Classes started today and they're great. I am moving from my temporary dorm room into a goshiwon tomorrow...it's a little pricey but is okay size-wise and seems cleaner and safer than several hasuk jips I looked at. It also has air con...a big plus.
There are two things I am trying to figure out, though...
1) Where can I get a pre-paid cell phone in Shinchon? I am going nuts without a phone. I want to pay as little as I need to, don't care if it's a crappy phone as long as I can contact people...
2) Until I have a phone, where can I buy public phone cards? Somewhere like Family Mart? Or...?
I really appreciate any help...I'm so disoriented...Please post a reply or PM me and I'll visit the PC bang again tomorrow...
Thanks!

go to any convenience store and ask for a "pone card-uh".
Deep breaths, relax, go to A Twosome Place for coffee- it's dead nice there. |

You might find it easier to go to Itaewon to buy a cellphone with a pre-paid card.
Just get out of Itaewon subway station (brown line) and ask any of the many westerners there where you can buy a 2nd-hand cellphone. They should direct you down the sidestreet past Burgerking and then left. |
