You can apply for a permission to extend your stay in advance, if you are either of the following ;
A registered foreigner who wants to stay more for tourism, etc, after your visa status expires
A foreigner who is likely to be unable to leave Korea since there are no departing flights, etc
|
Has anyone here done this? If so, could you provide some details? |

Yes, it is common and easy to do. You need to go to Immigration with your passport, ARC, your flight ticket and some money. W30,000? I'm not sure about the amount. |

Why do you need a flight ticket? To prove when you're going to leave the country?
How long will Immigration allow you to stay after your visa expires?
And what if you have trouble getting a flight ticket for the desired date? |
