Anyone interested? I am thinking of March or April (I'll be gone most of February, myself, and all the uni people will be back then).

I don't remember there being one here since I have been here (2 years). Its about time!

cool! i'd be interested.

i think it would be neat to see people we probably bump into periodically in this liitle city, but never connect with names on this board.
on the other hand, i wonder how many teachers i know actually use this board on a regukar basis...

In my part of Daegu, I've already been outed, so I am not worried about my identity. At least for the most part. Confused

I would be up for a Daegu meeting in Feburary. I leave Korea in March. I live in Gumi, so if anybody wants to escape Deagu for a smaller town let me know. I'll be happy to introduce you to a few of our expatriate bars.

There is a remote Buddha statue carved into a stone mountain by my home. There is also a forest Buddhist hermitage operated by nuns that I can take you to. As an added bonus I'll how you the anti-western monument that was constructed in 1871.

February would be a stretch for me- unless it was on the 26th- I'll be back by then.

I've heard about that hermitage- one of my students lives out by there- sounds interesting.

Depending on time, as in April I'm going to Indonesia for the month I would be interested as it is only an hour up the road from me by bus.

Someone mentioned Commune, which would be fine with me. It would be nice to get dinner first together- in an environment more conducive to talking and being heard.

I assume that a Saturday is best for everyone?

I might train it downcountry from Seoul for this if the incentive is right ... can we get Corporal to come? She deserves a big fat lip for something she said about me two years ago, and I've been saving it up.

Cool

Sure, it would be great to see you, Bobster, and if we can include a brawl with you and the Corporal, all the better! Maybe we could also get the smokers and non-smokers into a little action- you know, like the Jets and the Sharks? A little Westside Story in the downtown Daegu alleys? Twisted Evil

How about some Busan folks stopping over- huh, Hoju?

I'd come just to watch the boxing match that's shaping up!
