I know this has been addressed many times, but I can't find the answer i'm looking for now. Just so angry.

I would like to get released from my school. The job I am doing is not the job I was told I would be doing Yes yes yes, I am a moron for no having the details in the contract, but we all do something stupid at one time or another.

I have been in this job for 3 months, and while all is not a horror story, lots of it is.

I was told yesterday I could not have a release letter. The boss is rude to me in front of everyone. Schedules are constantly being changed with no warning. Yesterday I went to what was supposed to be my class ad was not.

She says one thing one day and another the next. Says she never says whe she did

More to this story, but i do not want to bore you all. I am concerned if I give my notice I will not get released, or will ust get let go and will not have the time to find a new job.

Thanks all.

Sorry you are having problems.

No one here quite understands why it happens but I think we all have had problems with schedules that morph without warning. It must be the climate. I know telling you that doesn't make the stress any less when it happens, but maybe there is some comfort in knowing that it is extremely common--not just your place of employment. (And very likely to happen at the next place.)

My advice:

1. Pre type-up a Letter of Release on school letterhead.

2. Shove it under your bosses face.

3. Demand he sign it, and refuse to teach until he does.

4. Demand to get paid **by the day** at the **start of every day** (in cash) until you leave.

5. Find a new job. Collect your last pay. Throw in your ARC. Leave.

6. If you get fired - that's fine. It saves the trouble of a letter of release.

Don't give your boss the luxury of the upper hand in negotiations.

If you FORCE them into a lose/lose position, you will get YOUR way in the end.

If you give them choices - you will be controlled by them.
