is this area rural?
is there an expat community?
How hard will it be to get to Seoul?
I dont mind being in a somewhat small town but I dont want to be isolated in the boonies... |

Pocheun, Gyunggi-do is rural. It isn't far from Seoul. There's a bus service to Seoul. There are at least half a dozen NETs in that area. |

It is rural by Korean standards but there are bars, restaurants, supermarkets, gyms etc.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I didn't live in Pocheon but did visit friends there quite often. I reckon there are perhaps 20 or 30 expat teachers but may be way off. |

pocheon is large and spread out. it's very important to find out what district of the city you'll be in. for instance, songu-ri is closer to uijeongbu and seoul, has a somewhat larger concentration of people, and has more restaurants and shopping. most of uijeongbu is NOT like songu-ri. |
