As some of you know, I was a TV commercial writer/producer for 8 years back home before coming here.
It drives me up the wall watching Korean TV. They compress BLAST the audio levels on the commercials to the highest possible level.
A station back home would lose their license for repeated offenses like that. |

| They do it in the states as well. But probably not as loud. The idea behind it is if you go out of the room (like to the kitchen to get something to eat) when a commercial comes on, it's loud enough for you to hear the ad from far away. |
