Hi all,
I was just wondering how the cost of living differs from city to city. Seoul, Pusan, Daegu, Gwangju and Jejudo ect...
Is it simply more expensive for basic bills and if so how big is the difference between Seoul, Pusan and the smaller cities?
Do the daily necessities (deodorant, toothpaste, food ect...) differ in price between the cities?
Are there big differences between the prices of basic entertainment (bars, museums, movies ect...) in the bigger cities and smaller cities?
thanks,
mike |

| Higher in Seoul and Jeju, lower in the other places. |

Cost of living is a factor - but the real issue if you live particularly in Seoul or Pusan (as most of us who live in sticks know) is that there is so much to do - so many good restaurants, book stores, etc., etc. that you can run through your wages rather easily. (Just my opinion)
Several of us make the trip up from our little town to Seoul about once and month - hit Hannam Supermarket, eat some good food, hang in a love motel, buy books, have some fun - and quickly retreat back to our quiet village - and save money the rest of the month . . . |
