Bikinis Back in Style
Last year, getting the ultimate poolside look came down to choosing the perfect one-piece. This year, however, is another story. As was forecast by British fashion trade paper Draper's Record earlier this year, this summer the bikini is in and the one-piece is out.
Cash, a local brand that dresses teenage girls and 20-something women, has filled their summer swimwear collection with nothing but bikinis.
Jung Eun-hee, Cash swimwear designer, explained their decision saying that market studies conducted by her company showed that more consumers are looking for bikinis this year. "The bikini used to be something worn by only a few but its natural more and more women want to show off more skin with the well-being craze going on and all," she says. "Women are more health conscious. They take better care of their bodies."
Bold colors and floral prints are the keywords in Cash's summer 2005 collection. Along with the conventional bikini top, the label also offers the halter-top, a style with one strap that goes around the neck.
Types of Bikinis
Tankini: A camisole-style tank top with a regular bikini bottom. Because the tank top covers more skin than the conventional bikini, tummy bulges are conveniently hidden.
Brazilian thong: If you don't get enough exposure from a regular bikini, try a Brazilian thong. The Brazilian thong is cut much higher at the back to the point that it disappears into the buttocks.
Boyleg: These very short shorts hang low at the hips to provide more coverage and are for those who want to accentuate their derriere. They look sporty and can be matched with bikini tops or tanks.
Monokini: The term refers to the topless bikini and was coined by the late fashion designer and gay activist Rudi Gernreich, by replacing the prefix "bi" (two), with "mono" (one).

That's right, Eun-hee. And nude beaches, wet t-shirt contests and dating foreigners is even better for well-being. Go well-being! |

I bought a little insulation cover for a water bottle. In summer I like to carry a frozen bottle of water with me when I'm out and about. I want to keep it from melting so quickly so I bought an insulation cover. The packaging had "well being" on it. Gosh. Keeping your water or more likely soju cool is all about well being?
Gad. Nearly beats the Well Being choco pies I've seen. |

It seems to me the newspaper just says that to sell more newspapers to foreigners.
Or like 'its a good time to invest in stocks' in an effort to make something happen when its really not. |

Reminds me of the home shopping channels having only foreign women model bras, panties, etc. Korean gals used to, but that quickly went the way of the dinosaur. Now they just hold them up in front of them.

It'll probably sell OK, along with a knee length matching sarong that they will NEVER TAKE OFF, along with their long sleeve t-shirt, visors, cheesy sunglases, high heeled shoes....
How about the guys? The seem pretty keen on the tiny bulge hugging speedos. Maybe the thong is the next step. |
