Should I buy the conversion plugs to plug in to the wall in Korea for my laptop here in the states or should I wait until I get to Korea to buy them? Also, I want to have a digital camera while I am there. Should I purchase it here in the states or would it be more economical to wait and buy one in Korea? Let me know.

get the plugs in Korea...any little store on any block for about 50 cents
likely better to get the camera in the US...aside from computer parts, electronics aren't that cheap here because of Korean brand loyalty combined with a protectionist market. |

You may need a voltage converter (220V-110V). You can buy them here in Korea (complete with American plug-ins) at most small electronics shops. It will run you about $20. They work great! |

If your laptop has an internal power converter (like mine does) then all you need is the wall plug adapter. Yeah, you can find 'em all over here, but they're only 2 pronged, non-polarized plugs. If you want a polarized or 3 pronged adapter, get it in the States (... and bring me one!!). |
