I'm used to using superior quality toothpaste in the UK and I was wondering whether similar quality toothpaste is widely available in Korea or if I'd have a hard time tracking it down? |

This kind of thing should have been posted in Q&A.
But anyway, check out the local Pharmacy
The sign will probably say in big red letters |

And the Lord said, "Hannam Supermarket." And it was good.
actually, they stock American stuff, but at least we have the good old ADA approving some of our toothpaste. Check the label for the ADA logo and you get be pretty sure it does the job. But get ready to pay 6000 per tube. Probably the Army base has more stuff for better prices. |

I remember thinking that Korean toothpaste was no good when I first got here, but now I really can't remember what my problem with it was.
It's been a long time. |

Always Curious? Please forgive James. He's... well, he's Swiss.
But as to your OP, that's a topic that comes up all the time. "What's the dentifrice situation in Korea? Can I find my regular dentifrice there? Which dentifrice do you recommend?"
I might recommend this one if I didn't know better:
Can you see it there? It's very small. Let me zoom it and flip it over on it's English-label side.
There you are. But if you want the very best, look for ۿ, the salty dentifrice with no English-label side (ergo, superior).
Yes, it's ۿ -- the dentifrice of Gurus who know. Ask for it by name. Just shout "ۿ!" |

I figure the "Arm and Hammer" brand is OK. I may be wrong, but it feels right when I scrub the fangs. |

after using only Korean toothpaste for a while, Colgate & other American toothpastes tasted really strong
then again, I brought a BJ's (Costco type store) size pack (6 family size tubes) of Colgate over when I was there and ended up giving most of it away |

You shouldn't have too many problems cautious, just stick with the US stuff. Think your'l find that the US stuff is on parr with stuff we have back in the UK.
Being as UK and US brands are differnet, you might have problems spotting them.
Close Up
Arm and Hammer
Are both the Yank brands I use.
I keep clear of the Korean stuff. Just like how I now how try to keep clear of Koreans. |

I brought over almost a year's supply of toothpaste from home....
just ran out now, and I have been using arm and hammer...expensive sorta, but worth it.
also found close up, a 3 pack of large tubes, for 2500 won.....I wonder if it will be the same stuff....rather cheap. |

what's wrong with "2080"? It's guaranteed to leave you with a minimum 20 teeth by the age of 80 years old! How many UK brands can promise that?! |

Arm & Hammer Sparkling White gives me a nice, broad, light-yellow smile.
Much better than the distinctly yellow smile I had two years ago before using it.
It works. I endorse.
8000 for three tubes in Walmart. Sometimes you get a bonus tube!!! Service-uh! |

ۿ tastes like you're brushing your teeth with a pine tree twig. Strangely enjoyable though. |
