|
|
Hello,
There is no doubt an obvious answer to this question, but it seems to allude me at the moment. I have a PC I bought a few weeks ago to basically use as a word processor in my classroom. I have a monitor and I went and bought a cord to connect the Monitor to the PC last week.
The problem is that the outlets for the monitor on the back of the PC appear to be "Out", and the cord also appears to be "out" on both ends. SO, do I have the wrong type of cord or is there a strange outlet on the back of my PC or am I just mixed up? Check out the photos to see what I mean:
THe Back of my PC looks like this:
The two cord ends look like this:

that's bizarre. However if you are in Seoul a quick trip to Yonsan and you'll be able to buy an adapter to fit on the cord so you can plug it in. Or you could buy a new power cord. Both options will be really cheap.
You want to go to the (sunin) building. To get their just follow Lemons guide to Yongsan |

Show us a picture of the area below where you took the picture. That's where the video card usually is. Do you not have a video card? Is this supposed to be one of those onboard video dealies? Those look more like serial ports to me, but I'm a little tipsy right now so my vision may be impaired.
I think you might have to buy a video card. |

Your monitor port is that blue one under the black divider-- you can just barely see it in the picture down toward the bottom. I'm sending you a doh! slap across the internet.
Why are the audio ports missing? |

You were trying to plug your monitor's RGB cable into one of your serial ports.
Audio ports are missing because the system board doesn't have a built in soundcard (nor video nor lan nor modem from the looks of it- an older board or a very cheap one). |
