Been In Korea For Three Days Culture Question Number One:
We were watching the tube last night, MBC (it's on right now - 8:02pm), and saw a game where some fellow (in a wetsuit) came up to some a variety of (it would seem) TeeVee personalities, and proceeded to say something like ! And then strike one of three poses - a snake, maybe, and a bird, and then a fist in palm in front of his chest sort of thing - and the TeeVee personalities responded -- and so we were speculating on how one lost (and got water-hosed as a result) -
I maintain that it was something akin to simon sez, where the wetsuitted one tried to lead the aforementioned personities astray, while my girlfriend says that it was something like rock / paper /scissors.
I maintain that I am right, and, after explaining my theory to her, she has caved in.
Someone please fill me in so that we may be jetlagged in peace, without this needless distraction further cluttering our mind.
In sum:
What is the name of the game?
What poses are being struck?
What are the names of the three things in question, and are they, as I maintain, all very similar in pronunciation?
Many thanks in advance,
