Saw Batman last night.
Gosh, can we re-invent any more movies and totaly change story lines in order to breathe live into a series strictly for profit?
Not horrible to sit through, but the beginning was sure weird! |

I saw it last night too. Wasn't his parents killed by the guy that was to become the Joker in the first Batman movie? Thought it was a pretty good movie though. Definitely a lot better than the last couple of Batman movies. |

Saw it earlier this evening.
I'm not really up on 'Batman lore' or whatever so the storyline didn't bother me.
I found it technically competent but lacking something, some sort of nebulous oomph I will call 'heart'.
It also lacked lost any sort of humour like that found in the other Batman movies- I think there might have been a couple of attempt I'm not exactly sure.
The wierdest part was
watching Gary Oldman as a good guy and Liam Nieson as a villain. And Katie Holmes just seemed out of place. |

The murder of his parents is more faithful in the new movie than in Tim Burton's version (the Joker wasn't the killer in the comics).
Actually, I'm not too knowledgeable on the Batman mythos, but I think the basic origin in the new movie is based upon 'Batman: Year one,' a mini-series from the 80's that is very highly acclaimed.

I thought the first 3/4 was pretty awesome....
Then the last bit the way the movie ended sucked.......
Its like they suddenly had to end it... |

I totally enjoyed it and there was two Irish actors in it so I was well delighted!!!
The film is a lot darker, the way that Batman is meant to be. |

I liked it alot better than the other ones. In fact, I think I've only seen the first two batman movies all the way through... I've just caught bits of the others on TV. They were too weird and I got annoyed with them.
Plus, I love Christian Bale. Always worth watching. |

I loved the new Batman movie. They departed on a few small points, but the Dark Knight is not overly reknown for his career in stand up comedy. I think the new bat mobile was even better than in the previous lamer movies.
Last was the treatment of Bruce Wayne the spoiled idiot playboy, that was done very well.
Anyway just a thought or two on my part. |

saw it yesterday with my woman, and we both really enjoyed it. great storyline, good acting and super strong cast. we liked how the story developed, and how it explains batman's origins. christian bale rocked, and so did the other british members of the cast.
one minor minor gripe; the super bad weapon......
PLOT SPOILER!!!!!!
(if it was supposed to vaporise the water system, how come it didn't vaporise the water in the human beings that were using it or in the vicinity?) |

I've found that in threads like this
writing in a colour like this is another way to keep people from seeing things too easily.
I've seen people on other boards write like that, anyway. |
