Here's an interesting article about the hypocrisy of the Bush administration.

The greatest thing that ever happened to the Bush administration and the far right is the 9-11. When the twin towers came down, the church and American conservatism rose in their ashes. As 3000 innocent people died, I could see jubilation in the Evangelical church as they drank the blood of those people in the towers instead of Christs, while chop licking in the Oval Office drew its own blood.

It is a forgone conclusion among the decent and the fair-minded that conservatism is monstrosity and truly the greatest enemy USA (and the world) is facing today. Lincoln once said that "If the US is ever subverted, it will be achieved from within". I truly believe this as The US becomes more and more a fascist nation.

You will recieve a royal spanking for this, I am afraid. But what you say is right on the mark. The right wing conservatives and fundamentalist Christians were given their raison d'etre that day. Instead of the inchoate anger at the cultural relativist nihilists, they had flesh and blood enemies. Best of all, they were anti-Christian (or could be perceived that way) enemies.

Onward Christian soldiers. . .

Hey desultude,

Love the line from J.S. Mill. True, so true!
