What's the deal with this stuff anyway? If I'm not mistaken, over the past few years this has evolved from a straight rip off of The North Face complete with the stolen logo and everything into a full-fledged brand with its own logo (but stolen backstory) and its own outlet stores and such.

Is this stuff any good?

I'm fascinated by such things.

I have used a few of their things and they are decent. Not as good as North Face but also a little cheaper. However, Red Face has appreciated a lot over the years so its kinda pricey too these days. A rip off brand like this will not last long if they do not make a quality product (quality rip-off) and so they are now quite well known.

The new comers are now The Black Face. Their stuff sucks, but its dirt cheap. You will see their stuff all over the cheap outdoor markets.

I know it's probably not a good idea to laugh at that but I did anyway.

Also, I once thought I saw a North Face rip off brand shirt that said 'The AIDS Mountain' on it-- but after doing a double-take it turns out it said 'The Adis Mountain'... but wow would that ever have made my day.

"The Gerbal Game". Honest to God it's out there. The saddest day of my life might be when my external drive crashed a few months ago and I lost a VERY close picture of some dude wearing a jacket with that on it.

I thought this thread was going to be about why Koreans' faces turn red when they drink alcohol.

I am disappoint.
