"According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, of 1,059 men and women polled by the private survey agency Gallup Korea, 52.3 percent of male and 2.4 percent of female answered that they were smokers"

Nice to see gender inequality is still alive in the ROK.

I'm sure that studies also showed that about 7.6% of Korean women lie about the most mundane things.

Interesting how in Canada I read that women now make up the majority of young smokers.

The cigarette stores here are so cool. At many cigarette stores,
I can often get my dry cleaning done, review real estate or buy hardware as well as get Time menthols that come with the Korean language lesson cleverlty included in the pack lid. American tobacco companies could really learn from the Korean business model.

Compare these figures to the U.S. where less than 22% of adults smoke.

Women who smoke in public are prostitutes. Didn't you know that? Rolling Eyes

Yeah, I saw a woman smoking the other day so I went up and punched her in the face, grabbed her pack of cigs, and some ajossi gave me 10,000 won for my effort. A few others "gave me snaps". Then we all lit up with her cigs and squatted.

yeah, i used to smoke time lights for the very same reason. i collected all of the korean phrases i got.

some of them are great: now is the time!

others are dumb: he's hitting the books a lot.

but it's been half a year since i got a phrase i haven't seen before. i finally gave up and switched to 'seasons' because they're a little lighter than 'time lights'.
