Anybody have any experience tracking misdirected packages?
I ordered a bunch of books on teaching materials online a month and a half ago, and my shipping address somehow got replaced with my billing address. Problem is, the address didn't get completely replaced. So now there's $80 worth of stuff to be delivered to "South Carolina, South Korea" floating around somewhere.
The company that shipped the package said all they could do was tell me that had been sent via GlobalMail supply me with a BOL number. They then told me that I should be able to contact my local customs agency and have them track it. My Korean acquaintances have no idea who I should be contacting. Our business manager tried tracking it through the post office, but to no avail. Apparently, the BOL is only used until it gets dumped into the local postal sytem -- and we can't find out when. how or if it got dumped into the local postal system until we figure out how to contact customs.
Any tips would be most appreciated. |
