I am 28 years old.

The highest position that I have ever held is Foriegn Supervisor at LCI Kids Club.

That and Professor of English Studies.

This is why I drink at 3:30pm on my vacation.

Yours?

Grad Assistant. Well, not prestigious, but it leads to better things (namely, college teaching)

Except the job paid in peanuts. But I loved my last job before I came to Korea. I helped the instructor in the freshman composition classes, helped graded essays, and guided students with writing. Teaching college students back in the US is a pretty cool job. I'm going back this August to finish the last year of my Master's and hope to land a job at a community college. It's funny, but teaching in Korea(particulary teaching out-of-control kids) has helped me really appreciate my job back home.

Not prestigious, but the best job title I ever had was in the summer vacation between my second and third year of university

"Internet Researcher" @ Pricewaterhousecoopers.

1200 quid (2.4 millionish won) per month to see what kind of stuff was on the internet.

Sweeeeeet

Prestigious, debatable, but I'm one of the few who think it is important work in the world. Dunno if you are being sarcastic, but I'll take you at what you say, anyhoo ...

I've been told I should care more about prestige, which is all about worrying whether other people think you are important. If that's the definition, my most prestigious job was probably as an unpaid moderator for Dave Sperling's ESL Cafe Korea Board.

I'm not sure I really thought it was that important, but I tried to treat it that way, most of the time, and I think the other mods did as well, and also the people who came to me to complain about this or that seemed to feel there was something worthwhile going on here ... offhand, I think treating 7-year-olds with love and respect and helping them learn a few things at the same time ranks a bit higher on the cosmic scale, though.

But maybe that's just me.

Cool

My favorite job title was;

Sex Equity Specialist Cool

There are so many possibilities there. Unfortunately, I no longer have the groovy business cards.

My job? Recruit women into the crafts training program at a community college. Not really very exciting, but a great job title.

I don't know. I used to pursue prestige with a vengance but it sort of felt like being on a never ending flight of stairs which, at the ancient age of forty-five, fifty I may ascend just in time to keel over. Or worse to be pushed back at the last second, fall flat on my arse at the bottom and start climbing all over again.
