I was wondering if I need or should get vaccinations. I have to show proof for Fall Registration (college). I'm having some difficulties digging up the records, so the worst case scenario is that I go to the local Dr. and get MMR (measles/Rubella). Since I was born in South Korea, and lived here until I was three, do I need to get local immunuzations?

Korea has no required vaccinations, although MMR, Tetanus, Diptheria, Typhoid, Hep A and Hep B (Twinrix) are highly recommended. I had the first 2 when I was young, and then had the others before coming here. If you need to show proof, dont they specify what proof it is?

The usual proff is a little booklet (the ones I've seen are yellow) with pages set aside for each vaccine. The person giving the injection signs and stamps the book and gives it to you.
Some vaccines, of course, need to be updated (boosted) every so often. Typhoid vaccination, for instance, boosts immunity for about 2 years so I doubt that you can count on childhood immunization to protect you there. That said, Korea isn't particularly high risk for typhoid.
