Some pseudoscientific TV program ("Child of Our Time") pointed out that the relative size of ring- and index-finger fall along gender lines.

Apparently longer ring-fingers coincide with manliness, and excellent American football players tend to have unusually long ring-fingers. So, having a ring finger that's longer than your index finger indicates masculinity.

Women's hands often have longer index fingers instead, though the program suggested some link between tomboyishness and long ring-fingers in women. The suggestion is that having a longer index finger is associated with femininity.

I checked out my own hands, and it turns out that I'm not quite symmetrical. My left hand conforms to my appropriate gender while the other seems slightly off. I guess it makes sense now why my father called me "the son he never had."

How do you see yourself? Are you a girly-girl or a manly-man? A tomboy or sensitive-new-age-guy? Do your hands say the same thing, according to this alleged indicator?

The ae equal in length on both hands. Makes sense, seeing as I'm a hermaphroditic trisexual transgendered pervatron.

But where will these things end? Next someone will be telling us that they are "susperior" because of their blood type. Rolling Eyes

My ring finger is longer than my index finger.

No gender issues here, and this test proves it.

Call me stupid, but is the index finger the finger you point with or the finger you use in traffic?

Ok, stupid. Wink
The index finger is most likely the one you point with, dial phone numbers with, pick your nose with, and type the letters 'j', 'f', 'r', 't', 'y', 'u' and maybe all the other letters too.

Wrong.

I have read palm for years.

The index finger indicates power and decisiveness, the longer the better.
The ring finger represents emotion. The longer it is, the more emotional and uncontrolled you are.
It should ideally be in balance with your index, and both should just reach the bottom of the nail of the middle finger.

A quick bit of information:

Forefinger/Index finger: Confidence, ego, ambition, drive.
Middle finger: Discipline, balance.
Ring finger: Emotional expression, creativity.
Little finger: Communication.

I'm at 0.9, so it looks good for me. BTW, does this mean I'm a sex machine too? Got to get to work then. Cool

Any interpretations?

I have inordinately short index fingers, and relatively long ring fingers. So according to Kermo, that would make me a manly man; but according to Rapier I would be something of a girly boy.
All of a sudden the username I chose has become eerily prophetic!
