I've got the google.com -> google.co.kr hijack on my machine which is annoying. What should I use to remove this from my system, I am using firefox as my browser and running XP SP2.
Thanks |

It's not a hijack, It's google AI looking at your ip, o/s, and language preferences and deciding what language to present you with.
On the google page click ȯ漳
then on the drop down bar choose
then click
ȯ漳 |

Use this url instead:
http://google.com/ncr
ncr - no country
Going there will also reset your cookies, so if you don't clear the cookies out, Google will check your cookies whenever you go to the website and it will automatically display in English. You can drag the URL onto your links bar if you want a quick link to it, or you can set it as your homepage. |

LOL This is a very simple problem to correct. When you go to www.google.com just look below the search bar and you will see "google in English". Once you hit that, it will save a cookie to the computer and it will stay in English until the cookie is cleared. You can also change the preferences to have it work the way you want it. |

If you check closely, that URL is actually the one that I stated (http://google.com/ncr) |

His point was that the answer is staring you in the face right on the page. In fact, it's the only English on the page outside the "Google"..
So, I think his point was how silly it was to have this non-problem in the first place.
As for typing URLs, why bother when the same is just a click away? |
