i was in Korea for a 'bok nal' once, followed a couple of relatives to their 'chin mok hwe' lunch thing for bok-nal, it was funny how divided the table at the outdoor restaurant was, one half of a row of long tables were eating dog and my half was eating boiled chicken... it was the only alternative if you didnt want dog, but it was fun joining in with the ajummas in teasing the other half that they were barbarians |

Yeah, I dunno what day it is exactly, but on bok-nal, one's either supposed to eat bosintang or samgyetang.
Never tried dog, but hey, more power to you if you're into that. I personally don't see anything wrong with eating dog. |

There are three of these days every summer. Ask your Korean friends when the next ones are and make plans accordingly. Also supposed to be the 3 hottest days of the summer. |

Is this related with all traffic -- even pedestrian street crossings -- being halted between 1400 and 1415 hrs today in Ulsan?
What was this? |

Looked out the window this morning and saw Korean flags along the boulevard. Are the flags up for 'Eat Dog Day'? |

Ah, so this is why all the dog meat farms around my little country village went quiet a few days ago. |
