a former right wing morals campaigner pleaded guilty tosex charges including rape of underage girls.

Quote:
For 12 years, the Christian Heritage Party leader and moral watchdog publicly decried paedophiles, homosexuals and preached about family values. All the while he was quietly putting his hands down young girls' clothing, stroking genitalia and massaging their breasts.

Actually my all time favorite moment with respect to these morals people

I think you are referring to Jimmy Swaggart (Jerry Lee Lewis' cousin). My fav is when he was crying on TV. Very inspiring!

So many of these morals police get caught doing this that I think the APA should come up with a category for them. Something like: Projection Gone Wild Syndrome.

Ah yes, Tammy Faye. Such fond memories.

The world lost a great opportunity when she and Imelda Marcos failed to form a singing duet.

Tammy Faye was on the first or second season of "The Surreal Life" which airs on MTV. In case anyone doesn't know about it, they take 7 either semi-famous or previously famous people and put them in a mansion for 1 week. They have tasks to perform and cameras are in their faces 24/7. Picture celebrity version of Big brother. Anyway I saw Tammy Faye, Ron Jeremy (the pornstar), Vanilla Ice, and a few others that I can't remember. Anyway they had to go to a strip club for some activity and Tammy Faye broke into tears saying she just couldn't do it and left to go to stay in a hotel. It was truly hilarious. Suprisingly she thought Ron Jeremy to be a nice, intelligent man and they got along well. If you get the chance to download this show, I highly recommend it. Season 5 just started last week. Jose Conseico, Omarosa (from the apprentice) Pepa (from the rap group Salt n Pepa) Paul Pinochot (spelling is screwed up, anyway the guy who played Belki on Perfect Strangers) to name just a few.

I'm not knocking your taste in TV, but to me that sounds truly, truly horrendous.

yikes

Will someone tell me why this surprises me not even a little?

Jesus said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone," and yet somehow the ones throwing stones seem to be quite the opposite ... that is, very much WITH sin.

It can be amusing at times.

Peter Brady married some model during the previous season.

This sort of thing is hardly surprising. His life's campaign was probably a self-loathing quest. His letter to his supporters is typically pathetic. Something about thinking she was older and it was consensual ... the one girl was 8 when it started!!! He thought she was 10 so it wasn't so bad?

I hope they dig up some of his quotations about what should happen to sex offenders to use at his sentencing.

Yes, I hope his being hoisted on his own petard is as painful as it sounds like it should be.

Consensual? Consensual sex with an 8-year old? WTF? That makes me shudder with disgust.

What a sick b@st@rd. Don't think he'll last long in prison. At least I hope not.
