Now I know what your thinking....no it doesnt.....but doesnt it?
Because i reckon North korea does alot of monitoring of anything to do with South korea and that goes double for its 'foreign influences'.
And this IS basically the most famous Ex Pat board so I just think its nice that they are probably showing an interest in us and reading what weve got to say.

So if you are watching Mr. Kim...big fan, huge fan...like your bodyguards too.
PM me.

Interesting question. My first reaction was, No. Then I thought, well maybe they checked in one or two times, saw nothing on the board that could impact them in any way and checked back out again, never to return.

What is said here by ex-pats could have no interest to the Nork government. Could it? The most it could do is reconfirm their contempt for foreigners.

They don't even pay any attention to the opinions of their own people.

Don't bother Waggo, it's too late for that. Nork sleeper commandos have already hacked this site and found you by tracing your IP address. When the time comes you'll be the first up against the wall, imperial pig!

Or not.

It could go either way, really...

Of course. Dave is actually a Nork spy and this whole site is just a front for a spy recruiting agency.

Or you could say they pay particularly close attention to the opinions of their own people. Smile

Yes, I did word that poorly, didn't I? I should have said they don't respect the opinions of their own people.

Theyve probably got a Nork Bernard Manning type comedian entertaining Mr Kim (Good evening Sir!) up there in a cabaret club most nights....

"Suvernors!!....I fooking hate them....softy bastards..!!!"

I do reckon though that this site has probably been scoped and any time someone like me types key words like...DEAR LEADER...(and.talks about what an interesting character he is, in my case) this board gets red flagged in their control centre.

mmm...nice Soju...as i was saying...I bet theyve got a few cheeky one liners to ridicule the Softy Sarkies down here.

I'd love to know some North korean jokes about the South.

I'd be straight down the local Pojang Mancha to do a bit of stand up for the Ajosshis.

I think language would be a bit of a barrier in monitoring this forum from the North.

This board contains lots of idioms, slang(from various countries), culturally specific references, etc that would probably just confuse the hell out of any North Korean who stumbled accross it. The few western-educated Norks who might be able to make sense of everything here probably have bigger fish to fry. Like monitoring the NYT, for example.

I mean: how many SOUTH Koreans do you know who'd be able to understand what's going on on this board?

Now that is a very interesting point!Very interesting indeed.
Hmmm..... So they need a translator who is conversant with our Patois and 'fits in'.

Who do we know on this board who is a bit of a 'liberal'on all issues, speaks very good Korean and English AND AND AND has had CONFIRMED contact with numerous NORKS in the last 12 months on say a visit to the Chinese/Nork 'border' area????

Added to that he has been quoted on national television as recently as today as saying that "he wants to be buried in Korean Soil." I bet he bloody well does. But not on this side of the fence.

I know who my money is on for the NORK rat on this forum.
