This is about the Wiki. On this page:

Each one has its own edit button so now it's easier to add info instead of just having a blank screen before with no clue where to begin.

I think only four or five of them have info right now. I didn't use the template for the larger cities as there are enough people writing about them that the pages have their own structure already. Although since it is a Wiki I'm not the arbiter of what style a page is supposed to use and some people change the entire structure of a page here and there.
Here's the picture used there for Busan:
It's possible to upload your own pictures onto the Wiki too, as long as you give permission for it to be used by anyone. |

I'll do as much of Asan as I can!
After a bunch of cities are complete, it might be good to make it a "sticky"! |

I had no idea.
Yes, you're published if you decide to use your isp as your penname. Until somebody comes in and writes extra, of course.
Sounds an awful lot like Mine-machi, the town in Japan I lived in for two months when I first got there on my second trip. The town had its own pool. |

BTW, is anybody friends with the marmot? I sent him an email when the Wiki was first started asking if he'd be interested in writing a few lines about it or putting up a link but no response. |

There, I have entered some info in the Mungyeong-shi section, and have more to write. I've put in a See reference from Jeomchon to Mungyeong in the town list. I'll also see what I can add for Suanbo and whatever other areas I know something about, if someone else doesn't get there first and write it all down..... |

Ah, but have you not forgotten the most important thing of all: the shijang. I always gotta know where the public market is when I come to a new city.
Also, accomodations - at least, where is the concentrations of hotels, yeogwans, etc. |

What does Wikicities add to Wikipedia? Seems redundant to me, & that list of cities doesnt acknowledge entries already posted on Wikipedia.
Someone's put up an article on Sokcho, for instance -- reads a bit like a tourist brochure but not too far off the mark. (I corrected a few misspellings & typos.) |

Schwa: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and thus it's not based on what an expat would want to know. "People like to hang out in front of the Ministop there and drink soju" would get deleted for example. Wikipedia also doesn't want too many links, so no links to travel agents, good companies to work for, personal home pages, etc.
Skookum, you can add entire sections to the page. Click on the edit button on the top and you'll see the entire content of the article. Headlines are inside the two equal signs like ==this== and sub-headlines are inside ===three=== of them. You can add the bit about the shijang. |
