Well, I thought my working relationship was doomed after the disputes last week, especially the boss deciding not to pay overtime pay for an extra class, which I wrote about on Friday. But we worked out a pretty good agreement now.

We agreed, instead of counting the hours each month and only counting it overtime if it's beyond 120, that all the time from 3pm to 9pm is the school's and they can have me teach as many classes as they want during that time. If I teach earlier or later classes it will be "overtime" and effectively a salary increase. It's a good deal for me, b/c I really only needed to be paid extra because that one class was really late in the evening. Also I hate all that bean-counting...

My boss and I both misunderstood each other about which points were particularly important to us, and I do feel like we've cleared the air and regained the mutual trust we need. So maybe I won't be jumping ship quite yet.
