Ok I'll admit it. I was a smoker.

It has been over 2 months since I have quit smoking (for about the 3rd time).

I have never really had withdrawl symptoms before. But tonight after a couple cans of beer I really want to spark up. I haven't mind you. But I think it's just weird that after 10 weeks. this sense of craving has hit me so hard.

Has anyone else had this feeling?

Almost 8 months for me and I still get cravings at the odd time. Certain that they're psychological, so that makes them easy to deal with, and they pass after a minute.

10 weeks with no nicotine and your cravings are almost certainly psychological as well.

Quitting smoking in Korea?
Never would have considered it, you've definitely got willpower!

shove a fully loaded shotgun up your ass and empty the clip. it's prolly a lot better for your health than smoking. Wink

This is the sort of input we can expect from you now that you've made your triumphant return?

I have nothing but admiration for people who have quit smoking, let alone here in Korea. Sigh, I wish I could. The cigarettes are so cheap and with that great watered-down-beer tasting Cass --- they go so well together. Embarassed Also, it seems like the majority of people here in Korea smoke. How did you do it?

ok, it's good for you. go ahead and smoke. drastic habits call for drastic measures, n'est ce pas? Confused

i'll spell it out to make it easy for you, though. only an idiot would shove a gun up his ass and fire it. likewise, only an idiot would repeatedly pump dangerously poisoning chemicals into her lungs. get it, genius?

at least i stay on topic, huh, smokey? Rolling Eyes

I quit in Korea. I hadn't been planning on it. I'd kinda vaguely thought about it, and kinda planned on doing it in the future.. then I stumbled across a website that persuaded me to quit. So I did. It's like 9 months later now.

Before you quit being a mod, you should have trained the others how to recognize such obvious socks. They perform quite pitifully at it.

I only smoke when I'm on fire--and that happens maybe once or twice a year.

I went in the opposite direction - I smoke more now. I'd like to try Welbutrin tho.

You can get it at the Psych at SNU Hospital, or even at the local International Clinic in Haebangchon.

I know of a few people who've gone to her and gotten it. Not cheap though.

Research it well before trying anything that can mess with your mind like that though.... and if you've ever had a seizure in your life, or anyone in your close family has them, do not take it. It increases your risk of seizures.

I tried the whole 'cutting' down thing (i was on a pack a day), but I figured well if i want to quit, just do it cold turkey.

The first night was the worse. But the following days were not too bad.
Even when I go out and drink I don't really get any cravings.

Every now and the craving sneaks up on me!

Easy 4 step path to quitting:

1. Get your drink on. Fire back a mixture of shots and cocktails 'till you're feeling uneasy ie. on the verge of yaking.
2. Suck back a cigarette in 30 seconds or less
3. Drink a half glass of warm beer with a dozen cigarette butts floating in it.
4. Become re-acquainted with your breakfast and lunch

This is what I did 3 years ago (inadvertently) and since then i can't even think about cigarettes without dry heaving.

I just go on the patch, the red label 30mg. And cutting down cut down the patches, since buying the lighter dose green and blue label box in the series is the same number of patches (lighter dose) for the same price as the potent red label box.
