okay, here's the deal. I've been here 4 years and was married in year number 3 to a korean lady I met in year number 2.

my wife gets very angry because of the following: (p.s. do any of you have a wife whose anger makes you get grey hair and run for the hills?)

in 4 years I have learned survival Korean and cannot have a conversation in Korean with any of my wife's friends or relatives,

I have no friends, either Korean or other,

I think this is not a good country most of the time due to weather and it being dirty, etc.

I do not want to learn to read, write or speak Korean fluently

and, there isn't much I like in the way of Korean food.

so is anyone else like me? Question

There are many people like you in Korea, only, they don't marry Koreans!

Is that ever true!!

Good god man...did it not enter your mind that when you marry someone from a different culture/country it is normal to make at least a mininal effort to learn about their language and culture?

In short, your wife is getting angry about these things is completely justified. She might feel (and she would be right) that you are not making any effort to learn about her culture and language. I assume she speaks English and works at improving it. Why should she be the only one making an effort here?

The airport you want is in Incheon.

You win a date with his angry wife?

I too usually take the poster at face value but this one seems a bit too far over the line.

If you signed up on Jan 16 2003 then you probably know a fair bit about this site including why the safe money is on you being a sock.

Thats a long time. You wife has a right to be annoyed.

Not liking the country probably has something to do with you having no friends.

You can learn to read and write Korean in 2 days. Is it that you find it too hard, or you lack intellectual curiosity?

Are you a sock? Is this some sort of parody?

This is either flame bait or you are a little bit slow on the uptake on why your lack of Korean language skills is a major problem for someone in your position.
