Most people that I know buy water only for drinking, and use tap water for cooking. No bad results.
However, there are companies that will deliver those big gallon jug things for next to nothing. Ask around for the company in your neighborhood. |

Boiling the tap water for cooking will kill the germs but not the chemicals, metals and other pollution. So be careful.
I got a steam-distiller shipped over from my home country. Basically, steam rises and consists of only oxygen and hydrogen, so everything else is too heavy and gets left behind. It is then condensed and passed through a carbon filter to provide me with about 4 liters of fresh water which lasts me two days. You should see the color and smell of what gets left behind when 4 liters of tap water gets distilled. Cook with that stuff? No, thanks!
Have a look on the net for them. No more plastic bottles polluting the environment. No more trips to the store because you forgot to buy water. If you're worried about having no good minerals in your water you can get additives for that, or just take vitamins.
Personally, I'd be a bit suspicious of those water-delivery companies. Are they up to scratch? Maybe, but this is Korea. Call me cynical. |
