Hospital strike talks fail, union to extend walkout
The union and the management agreed on smaller issues at the previous negotiation table, but failed to reach agreements on core subjects such as wage increases and the enforcement of a five-day work week, union officials said.

During the last round of negotiations, the union demanded a 7 percent wage increase, about 3 percent lower than their previous demand, but the management's offer remains at 2 percent. The management also offered a minimum monthly wage of 700,000 won while the union are demanding 820,000 won.
