I don't think we'll see anything better than the original BBC's "The Office" for a long, long time...
I can't wait to see "Extras" though. |

Uknova is amazing but they keep tight control on the number of users. The cull inactive users with a vengeance, however. You have to check back every few days to see if some spots have opened up. They also keep tight control over upload/download ratios. Many of the torrents have like 58 seeders and 3 leechers. You end up downloading something very quickly only to find no one is around to accept upload and your ratio is killed. I've taken to finding some gig sized files with a lot of leechers, downloading it, and letting it run all night just to bump up my ratio. |

So I downloaded an episode of Extras, and it was good in some parts, not so great in others. One of my favorite scenes was when Gervais's character is trying to shmooze on a movie's director, and ends up making several gauche comments regarding ethnicity. Very funny!
Speaking of Gervais productions, anyone seen the US version of The Office? I was skeptical at first, since the first episode seemed like it was going to simply be the same story lines as the UK version, but the following episodes were almost as funny as the originals, and did have original stories. I definitely recommend it. The office manager in that one is probably more of a douche bag than David Brent could hope to be. |
