Hi ,
A few friends and I are traveling down to Gwangju city on our motorbikes on Thursday - can anyone let me know where the best watering holes are, or whether there is anything interesting happening over this weekend?
Cheers

I don't drink, so can't help you there. But, there is a ceramics festival starting (I think) this weekend.

Downtown. Soul train is the big foreigner bar nowadays. Usually has a crew in there on the weekends.

If you're looking for little clubs there is DB and Gangsta - downtown. There is another Gangsta club out near Chonam university which is better than the downtown Gangsta.

Theres night clubs too. They really arent that great for music, except Julianas, but you won't get in without a Korean.

If you want a good hof go downtown to Miller Time, it's right around the corner from Soul Train.

Hope that helps.

I agree. Soul Train is definately the place where all the foreigners go. It's pretty easy to find. It's right by the fountain. Good luck. Maybe I'll see you there!

Which one? Gwangju city, or Gwangju metropolitan city? The ceramics festival is taking place in the former. The latter is a 4 hour drive from Seoul.

DB is full of guys obsessed with race. I wouldn't advise anyone to go there on the pull.
