[The Great Wall of Whiner]

Currently, there is a vote on Wikipedia regarding this very issue.

I won't go into the pages upon pages of arguements, but basically there are some who want to use East Sea (Sea of Japan) instead of Sea of Japan (East Sea) on it's English version site, and the vote will pretty much determine the "official" name used on Wikipedia.

Curious how you folks all feel about this issue.

Personally, I think Korea's stance on the issue is emotional instead of logical.

What do you all think?

As a general rule I don't tell Koreans how to speak Korean, and I appreciate it when they don't tell me how to speak mine.

Why can't the Koreans just be happy calling it the East Sea and let everyone else call it whatever the F* they want....it's a sea, a body of water....it ain't the bloody Dead Sea Scrolls

I think they should do a swap- call it the East Sea but in exchange the Korea Strait is renamed Japan Strait.

And Tokdo is renamed Jingu-do and split 50/50.
