Hi. I'm living in Korea w/a friend who's come to teach English here. I didn't qualify for a job like that, b/c I haven't finished my degree yet. My mother is Korean by birth, but she has dual-nationality (never officially gave up her Korean citizenship), so I'm not sure if I could actually obtain a "gyopo," or F-4, visa.
Anyhoo, if anyone has any info. on this, it'd be greatly appreciated. Also, my friend & I are a bit nervous about going out & exploring, so if 1 would be so kind as to offer some assistance (possibly meeting up? Or just general advice, etc.), that'd be lovely.

p.s.
If you've got something to say about food, thank you, but I should mention we're both vegetarians. : )

Stay here long enough and the Korean Army will hound you down for military service..

I know a friend who is an American Citizen of Korean descent who had to leave after a month because the Korean Government wanted him to serve two and a half years doing military service.
