Playoffs are over, need a new thread.

Babcock drops the ball again. Ukic who some may consider the best of his choices this year has decide to sign with Tau in Spain. M0R0N decides to concentrate on Calderone.

The Nets are gonna be a powerhouse in the East this year.

Some strong teams in the East this year:Nets,Heat, and Cavs have all improved this year.

I don't know if that is such a bad idea. If Williams is healthy, let him play the point for one last season. The Toronto team will have a lot of young guys on that team. Phasing them in slowly isn't the worst thing that could happen. Though, gettin Ukic into Toronto and onto a weight program wouldn't be a bad thing either. At least he will see lots of PT in Spain.

yes he will see a lot of PT (goin head to head vs. the Spanish Magician will be a good match-up), but he will sign for 4 years. Tau is notorious for making buy outs difficult,

The Pacers signed euro free-agent Sarunas Jasikevicius. Looks like he will try to help with Reggie's departure.

For a brief time I cared about basketball. Then Vinsanity subsided and the team fell apart. It doesn't help either that Babcock is the GM. His record is horrendous. Has be made one good deal? Signed one good FA? Drafted one good player?

File this one under "what are you, afraid to make lots of money and get lots and lots of tail?"

Quote:
I've said no because I was afraid to adapt to the American way of life and of not giving the level they have asked,'' Vazquez told the Spanish newspaper Malaga Hoy. ``I'm not a coward, but I prefer to stay in Spain, progress, and who knows? Maybe jump to the NBA in a few years.

That's what I thought about it. The Euros would rather get in 2-3 seasons to prepare themselves for the NBA over in their homeland get PT, rather then sit on the pine and regress.

The article states that he was expected to play right away. He would have had an instant opportunity.

PS - That video's CG.

He was considered the most ready Euro prospect, hurts the Euro draft class for next year mire than anything else.

Rumour has it that Vazquez was a panic pick. Magic had Villenueva as No.1 option and Bynum as No.2. Saw the rn on bug men and took a chance.

You left off Jason Williams going to Miami on that list. Huge deal for the Heat. Here is what the Heats line up will look like:

PG - Williams
SG - Wade
SF - Walker
PF - Haslem
C - Shaq

Posey, Laetnar, Doleac, S. Smith, Zo, D Wright(HS kid last yr), Shandon Anderson

If the chemestry of all this team is good they are going to be hard to beat.

I don't think it hurts next years class. I read a few sites that figured Ukic would need a few years in Europe prior to the NBA. The only thing that will hurt Europe is if the talent is not there. Otherwise, teams will continue to draft. Agree on the Vazquez pick though.

That trade today was nuts. Seems my team Utah took back Osterfat to get rid of Lopez's salary and Snyder. I don't see it as being bad for us since the other two weren't contributing and Lopez was going to be bought out. Osterfat will clog the lane and play solid D, getting rebounds, blocking shots and collecting the odd bucket.

With Williams and Walker on the team, I'm just worried that they'll take a ton of bad shots. Hopefully Van Gundy, Shaq and Wade will put them in their place. Those new guys are chuckers.

Garnett is rumoured to be reunited with Flip in the Motor City.

The T-Wolves supposedly would send Garnett to the Pistons for the two Wallaces and two first-round picks
