I bumped into a few stores where you can buy all of the little things like capacitors, diodes and such. It's in Yongsan, in that new building they built/finished in the past few years. Maybe on floor B1. It looked like fun.

You probably already knew that place.

I had some funky kit from Japan called, "Denshi Blocks" that my parents picked up at a garage sale once. It was a lot of fun. You could build alarms, radios, etc., just by following the diagrams and stuff in a book. Really easy, and cool. Here is the exact kit I had about 20 years ago. They re-launched it and are selling them again. Timeless and educational.
Not a good thing if you have little kids around, though (they can swallow the blocks).

Yep, know the place - it is LARGE - tons of specialty shops (mostly) and mostly digital stuff.

Very little in the way of cases/cabinets and transformers and AF oriented stuff (like switches and decent pots), although there are some shops selling AF type connectors at the far right hand side. Nice shop selling kits (but $$$) at the extreme back, left hand side. Some other shops sell kits, but 'robot' stuff.

Most store staff are helpful, but most shops are wholesale oriented - helps to bring/draw a symbolic representation (else they dont know [in english] a triac from a mosfet).

Go to the left as you exit the old subway station building - past the parking lots - basement floor.

Rumors of another place - north-west Seoul??? Any ideas?

Thx for the reply!
