Does anyone have experience getting an iBook repaired in Korea?

Yes Sad. I had to have my first iBook repaired here about 2 years ago. Are you in Seoul? I can give you directions to the service place... if it's still there.

No, I'm about 4.5 hours out of Seoul. There's only one Apple store here right?

Well, there is one Apple shop, here in Seoul. I had to get my iBook fixed before the Apple shop opened through an after-sales service centre. Perhaps there is a way to ship your iBook to the repairer - unfortunately I haven't been able to find the business card for the them. Is your iBook still under warranty?

Yeah, it is. And I've got the extended Apple care as well. Thing is, it doesn't cover accidents, which is what this was. I spilt water on it. Wiped it up, and unplugged it and took the battery out. (AFTER trying to use it the next morning, like a complete idiot.) So I'm hoping that it will work after I let it sit for a few days, but I think I damaged it. So I'd like to have it looked at in Seoul. Do they speak english there?

They speak passable English at the Coex Apple shop. Don't expect speedy repairs though. It took over two weeks to get a hard drive replaced in my iBook G4 last summer.

I'm one lucky gal. My laptop is alive and well!

Thanks for the info; I'm glad that I won't need to use it afterall!
