I'm getting worried... The a-hole pilots' union again walked out of negotiations with the airline. As of this weekend, their international flights were also affected - including the flight to New York I've got booked to leave Aug. 13 ... If they don't settle it by then - and 'cause the company to declare bankruptcy - I'm gonna be extremely pissed! |

I have a flight booked to L.A on Aug 16th and L.A flights were also cancelled!! I've been worried to so I called the Asiana representive yesterday and asked what should I do. She said that those international fights were just cancelled that day and that my flight hasn't been cancelled(same with New York). I asked her what would happen if it DID get cancelled, and she said affected passengers would be put on different airliners. This is what she told me. I deeply regret booking on Asiana...I will never fly them again. It's a sh*tty airliner(maybe just a notch up from Korean Air...which is God awful). Anyway, most likeyl your flight isn't cancelled....YET. But you will probably be put on a different airliner to New York.....be prepared, you might be doing some waiting around like I will if it gets cancelled. |

When I reserved my ticket, I deliberately avoided Asiana because of this chaos. |

Some ad slogans (that aren't warranted, but who cares?)
Asiana -- Flying by the seat of our pants since 1988!
Asiana Airlines: Fasten your seatbelts -- We fly like we drive!!!
One reason I've always avoided Asiana whenever possible is the awful colour scheme.
Look, if my plane's coming in for a one-point landing, I want to go out in style. Honestly, what is that pukey colour anyway? I wouldn't tile my basement floor in that. |

I was in an airplane crash you could call it. It was reallly a runway "overshoot." Guess the airline?
I'lll never forget it, that same sort of I'm watching all this happen, and yet in a strange way you are cool as a cucumber, this used to happen to me in Viet Nam. You'd just sort of go... Oh so this is it? Sometimes your life flashes by you like a disjointed film with no editing, just sort of random images but all of strange significant things that you have really forgotten all about.
So great Asiana is going under. Kind of reduces the flights doesn't it? Great just what I need. |

I had 2 choices: Book Philippines are at get confirmed or be put on a waiting list for Asiana to Cebu. No chance I would risk losing my vacation because of some asshole pilots. I hope Asiana drives the union into the ground. |
