Clever title, eh?
Anyway, I think it'd be a gas if a big group of westerners got together and piled into a health soup establishment. There seemed to be a fair number of bosh fans in that other thread that Pastis commandeered.
I've been wanting to eat it again, but since I learned about the common killing method, I haven't had a repeat visit. However, some folks mentioned that there are places which do not torture the dogs. So if anyone is interested, like at least 4 people, let's have a little trip one weekend.
Speak up! Or PM if you're afraid of the crusaders.

Puppies taste good, but after I learned how they abused them, I will never eat one in Korea again. If you're going to eat them, as many cultures around the world do, at least respect them enough to kill them as quickly and painlessly as possible. |

For what its worth, I'd be up for going... I know people have very strong feelings about the way in which the animals are slaughtered, but what are you going to do? Go around restaurants asking if you can watch the slaughter happen - or take the friendly staff-waiters word for it? I've been eating at McDonalds, KFC et al for years... |

I'm in. Just for the photo op of watching the staff see a load of waygooks pile into a boshintang restaurant (Well, I'm in for the puppy-eating too). |

I've never tried to 'tang but I'd like to give it a go so count me in.
Mod Edit: Removed Pastis flame quote and flame response. |

Are you bringing anyone Korean with you? I suggest you do. Koreans take their dog eating rather seriously (not to mention that at good places, it's not cheap). If you go marching into a boshintang restaurant with a group of other whities yukking it up, they'll think you're taking the piss. |

Well, we will be taking the piss and yukking it up, I hope. It's not like the diners or staff there would understand us. |

There is a lot of hypocrisy involved: unnecessary suffering is caused to many animals because humans like the taste of their blood and flesh. Of course, it's better that the animals at least not be tortured before being slaughtered, but western meat-eaters shouldn't feel so morally superior.
People who love their pet dogs know that they have lovable personalities and that killing them unnecessarily for "food" - when there's plenty of food (including milk products...) that can be gotten without killing - can't be good. Cows are among the most gentle animals, and the way they produce "veal" from baby cows is abominable to anyone who's not pyschotic. (And they think that I'm crazy - go figure...) |

If someone wants to set up a outing to a resturant that serves dog, then it's their right. Coming on and flaming the person for it (as did at least one person) is uncalled for.

So if *my name* is mentioned in a disparaging manner in the OP's thread, I'm not allowed to react to that? If the OP didn't want me to post anything, he/she should've left my name out of it. This makes the mod. process look unusual... |

Her/his explanation is quite easy, even for an illiterate such as you. Notice how the vegetarian dinner thread hasn't had an attack since what, the 3rd page. It's on 17 now. Treat this thread with the same respect. Spout your pathetically emotional, illogical opinions on the other thread, where it belongs. |

You guys should call KBS, et all if you're going on an outing. I'm sure they'd love to broadcast such an event. |

Pastis, I don't believe Qinella said anything that bad about you except that you highjacked a thread. If the shoe fits.....
From this point on we need to keep it on topic. |
