Anyone out there working with Reason 3.0? It's an incredible software, but tough to totally understand. Seems way deeper than say Photoshop, for complexities, but it's certainly intuative for the basics.

My question is this...anyone know of any good online tutorials? I tried downloading some video tutorials, but there is no need to mention what the video turned out to be....people are strange.

Anyways...perhaps someone out there is working with this and knows where one could get a good understanding of some advanced features.

I should mention that Barnes and Noble as well as Amazon have a number ofbooksfor sale, but I thought perhaps someone had a link to a good site...not necessarily a download (unless it's a .pdf or something), but a tutorial.

Hi... I have used Reason for a number of years now. There is a great tutorial out there, I actually bought it along with my copy of Reason, but I don't have it on me now. It's a one-CD video tutorial that guides you through almost every aspect of Reason, just showing you the basics to get started. I am sure you could, errr, download it no problem. I think its just called "Learning Reason."

Anyways. If you live in the Daegu area, I'd be happy to show you a few things. Are you familiar with any other programs such as Ableton or Cubase?

Good to know there are other producers out there. Very Happy

It's an advanced music-creation program. Includes alot of stuff, such as virtual mixer, effects, sequencers, and synths.

You could compare it with other pro apps like Cubase and ProTools.

Producer? Well, perhaps, but not yet!

brento, which app do you like more? You mentioned Cubase and Protools...I got into Reason as a step out of Finale, which I used for composition, so I am fairly new to some of the ideas in Reason. It was recommended on another forum, but of the three, which do you find most versatile?

Thanks for the offer, but I am far from Daegu...if I do get down that way, I hope the offer will be standing!

I like Reason the best. I am not familiar with Pro Tools, but I know its a very good program, used by professionals. It costs serious money, and is used in the film & music industries. The standard.

As for Reason and Cubase, these two programs are more pretty much entirely focused on music creation. As for which program is better, it's not really 'which is better' but which you like more. It's all about the artist who puts to use what he or she is given... but I prefer Reason, cause that's what I use.

Hope you make it down here, I'd show you a thing or two in Reason no prob...

cheers..
