Anybody else notice this. There doesn't seem to be much work coming into the Korean Job section these days. The last job offers were on June 25, five or six of them, and then nothing. It's now August and still nothing. Slow period or something else?

There's 289 ESL jobs listed on the Busan-oriented website as well, Pusanweb, part of the Koreabridge network:

http://www.pusanweb.com/classifieds/index.htm

But then again, some months there are 350 listed.

No shortage at any time of year really.

Yes, it's summer.

This is the lowest time of year for everything but camp jobs, which have already started anyway.

You'll soon see the "oh crap, we are starting the new semester and we need to hire a teacher" jobs come up.

Do you remember that thread about.. two months ago, where a guy working for a Geoje university said his job would be coming up very soon? I thought it might be coming up in like the next week or so, the way he spoke, but (if its the same job) it just got advertised yesterday or the day before. Like less than a month before the job starts. They're offering flight and stuff too.. I guess they'll have to if they leave hiring this late, even for a uni job.

Anyone know of any other last minute university jobs coming up in the next couple of weeks? (Real ones, with half decent holidays that is)

Yeah, it's summer and everybody is concentrating on doing camps. They're not thinking about the fall yet.

Thank for this thread guys. I have just started looking for a job starting in September and was thinking that jobs were a bit thin on the ground, now I know why.
That said it may be cos I am British that nobody wants me. Crying or Very sad
