Have you experienced this? How often? In Korea?

For me, a bit.

Don't believe cell phones insure privacy
Even foreigners are not safe from wiretaps here. In May, Korea Exchange Bank suspended an executive after he had a secret camera installed in the office of Richard Wacker, the bank's chief executive officer.

After reading Daves esl for a few months before actually getting to Korea, I was super paranoid that I was going to get done over by my recruiter, the Korean teachers and of course my boss.

After a few months, Ive started settling, but still cant quite shake the feeling.... waiting for something bad to happen! I wonder if it will come in month 11???

Yep... still paranoid.

Don't worry, I am way into my third year, and I can assure that the worst that has happened to me hasn't been that bad, and it has generally been due to other wayguks. Cool

describe the paranoia. be descriptive. use emphatic language. do you think you're being followed around by the korean information service, the fbi or cia? have your family members back in the real world hired korean private investigators to monitor your every move in the rok? are you hearing strange voices in your head, spirits, or psychodelic rythmns? do you imagine koreans on the subway or streets whispering things about you because you're a foreigner? are your co-workers playing jokes on you at work? is your lifestyle or appearence the subject of their secret discussions in the stairwell? really, paranoia is a broad subject.

Damn it aint the grass because I have not touched that stuff in Korea.

It's living here as a character prone to being a psychological mess!

Nah, I'm rarely paranoid. I just live in a heightened state of "Oh my god!"

Wink

My AQ (anxiety quotient) is twice my IQ. So my AQ is about 70. Very Happy

First sheba was concerned about the recruiter, Korean teachers and the boss...now sheba can add wayguks to the list. Was that a plan?
