I have been wrestling with the various emul's for the Saturn for a couple of weeks now. For a while there I thought I would never get one to work. Finally I got a copy of Cassini. I got it to work but I couldn't get the .cue files to load the .bin. Another week of tinkering with this and finaly I wrote a .cue file to work.
So I have been playing Dragon Force and Shining Force III. They are great games. But man, it was realy hard for just a regular tinker to get these things to work. Hopefully, someone will write a better emulator for this system. |

Hey
about two years ago I was into a big Saturn revival when I discovered how to play downloaded and burnt games on my system. I was having so much fun playing all the wicked Japanese games and Dragon Force and Shining Force III. Where did you get the emulator and the roms? Could you upload them to my ftp? |

Well, the emulator that I finally got to work well was one called Cassini. The website was shut down before I was had heard about it. The way that I finally got ahold of it was by downloading a torrent. The funny thing about this emulator(besides the fact that it actually works) is that some of its program files look like viruses to my anti-virus program. So I put it on my old lap top first and it hadn't harmed anything so I went ahead and put it on my pc. It runs fine so I don't think it actually has any viruses in it. I could send you the emulator if you would like and you can make the decision from there. Also, for some reason all the roms that I have found seem to have a cue file that doesn't work. The roms are in .bin .cue format. First I tried just loading the .bin with daemon tools but it wouldn't work. So I had to edit the cue file with my notepad. Most of em you just have to fix the name of the .bin in it. So after all that let me know if you would like me to upload the files to your ftp server. |
