trying to plan a trip to goejedo during the long weekend to see my uncle and his family. i live in bundang and i figure i should go see my family before my contract is up at the end of august.

does anyone know what is the best way to get there and how long the trip will take? and a ball park figure for how much its going to cost me?

thanks.

geoje-do? as in koje-do? near busan?

i'd say take a KTX to busan. that should run you about 90,000 return (i think, i don't have time to check the train website).

then i bet there's a bus from busan.

someone who posts here regularly lives on geoje-do... i don't remember who.

I think Van Islander lives down there. And Shawner once lived down there, too. Might try PMing those guys.

According to the ol' LP guide, ferries run between Busan and the island eight times daily. There's also bus service to Seoul, though I don't know which station.

My sugggestion would be to ring 1330, the information number for foreigners in Korea. It's proven helpful on occasion.

Best bet would be to go to the Express bus station in Gangnam...there should be a bus to Tongyeong at least every hour....then it is very close to Koeje island

here is the daily timetable in english for you
