So, officially, how long does the rainy season last? It's been about 7 weeks by my reckoning, and the novelty is wearing off...

I was kind of expecting the rainy season that they have in Thailand....some showers and thunderstorms, mingled with blue skies. Saturday was the first day with blue skies that I've seen for a long time. It was pretty...

Actually, this "rainy season" has been pretty darn tame in Gwangju. I rained a couple of days after I planted my beans (helping them to shoot up in record time) and that's been about it till the last couple of days.

Last year wasn't bad either. The year before (my first) was NASTY... rained straight through to the beginning of October. Ick. Confused

Yea, this is by far the tamest one I've seen in 3 years in Korea. Summer 2003 was miserable.
